A press conference was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Egypt on the occasion of the Global Dance Overture International Cultural and Educational Project in the BRICS countries in Egypt.
The prospects for the development of cultural bilateral cooperation aroused great interest among media representatives and the public. Journalists from more than 30 Egyptian and international TV channels, as well as print and online publications took part in the press conference.

The speakers at the press conference were famous cultural and diplomatic figures of Russia and Egypt, thanks to whom the Global Dance Overture project was presented these days in Cairo.

The meeting with media representatives was headed Georgy Borisenko, by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Egypt. "This is the first BRICS cultural project, which symbolizes the launch of a new trend of cooperation of this multilateral organization. It is very important that such countries as Russia and Egypt, which have very close cultural ties, were the first to join this cultural project. Therefore, of course, it is easier for us to start cultural cooperation in order to promote this interaction around the world and include all other countries located on different continents in this project. We are confident that the project being launched now will become a starting point for close cooperation in the cultural sphere around the world, and of course will give a new impetus to the development of cultural ties between Russia and Egypt," said Georgy Borisenko in his speech.
Elena Tsarenko, the author and performer of the Global Dance Overture project, president and producer of Kostroma Russian National Ballet, spoke about the main stages of the project development, its innovative idea and prospects: "The Global Dance Overture project is designed to unite the hearts of people from different countries through national dance. After all, it is culture that is the unique bridge that allows us to better understand each other, find common values and interests ... ". Also Elena Tsarenko told the participants of the press conference that during the project the BRICS Folk Dance Alliance is being formed. Its goal is to establish a unique creative community of young dancers and choreographers from the BRICS countries, which will broadcast the ideas of unity of national dance cultures, to strengthen international cooperation and interethnic friendship. One of the first to join the Alliance was the Beijing Academy of Choreography. After the implementation of the project in the UAE, the Alliance was joined by the Sharjah Academy of Performing Arts. We hope that our proposal for the Alliance will be supported by Redo Troupe and the Egyptian Academy of Arts from Egypt.

He expressed Redainess for cooperation and great interest in interaction with Kostroma Russian National Ballet within the BRICS Folk Dance Alliance.
